Liposuction
Sometimes no amount of exercise nor weight loss can rid problem areas of stubborn fat collections. Lipodystrophy tends to occur commonly on the thighs, flanks, and hips. Fortunately, liposuction can target these areas of undesired fat deposits and removed them permanently. Liposuction is a versatile surgical procedure that can be used to remove fat from almost any part of the body—from neck to arms to abdomen and legs. Liposuction can also be combined with other procedures such as abdominoplasty to offer an even more spectacular result for your body contouring aspirations.
Arm Lift
Many patients find that after significant weight loss, their efforts at tightening the skin on their arms are frustratingly ineffective. Despite many hours at the gym working out their arms, women (and some men) may find that the skin on the arms just doesn’t “bounce back,” leaving them with “bat wings.” A brachioplasty (arm lift) procedure entails an incision which is made from the elbow to the axilla. All of the excess skin is surgically removed, and you will be left with the svelte arms that you desire. Call Dr. Lee for a consultation today to further discuss your plans for arm lift surgery.
Abdominoplasty
A “tummy tuck,” or abdominoplasty, is a cosmetic procedure which tightens and flattens the lower abdomen by removing the excess skin and tissue. A woman’s abdomen can undergo various changes due to fluctuations in weight—whether from weight gain/loss, or from pregnancy. Abdominal skin can become loose and redundant, and unfortunately no amount of diet or exercise will restore the youthful, flat appearance that most women strive to attain. An abdominoplasty operation can remove saggy and over-stretched skin as well as some inherent stretch marks. If necessary, the belly button can be relocated to a more ideal location. The overall result is a taut, slimmer abdomen.
Depending upon the amount of skin and fat which needs to be removed, your abdominoplasty procedure will be done either in the hospital or at an outpatient surgery facility. The surgery requires anywhere from two to five hours to perform and can possibly be combined with other cosmetic procedures such as liposuction and/or breast surgery. For some patients, abdominoplasty surgery can even be done in concert with gynecological procedures such as hysterectomy surgery. Please inquire with Dr. Lee if you are considering tummy tuck surgery.
Thigh Lift
Sometimes after weight loss, patients are left with sagging and unsightly extra skin in the thigh region. Despite their best efforts at exercise and strength training, patients just cannot seem to spot treat this area. If you are having difficulty with this area and are unhappy with the appearance of your thighs, call Bella Mia today for a consultation. We will be happy to discuss with you the option of a thigh lift procedure, wherein an incision is made to surgically remove the excess and redundant skin on the upper thighs.
